Diddly doodle day

It is too hot to do much of anything, especially as my craft area is in one of the hottest parts of the house!  So, to take my mind off the abysmal performance of the England team in South Africa I had a go at a zendoodle, or maybe just a plain doodle (not sure what the difference is).
I picked a page in my art journal which already had a background of inky messy grungyness on it and started doodling.  Not really happy with it, and I found it hard going to fill in the whole page.  Usually if I am doodling on a page it's just in the margin or something.  It felt odd trying to cover a large area with just doodles (which is why I made the big flower in the middle, but then that made it a bit difficult to make sections around the edge).  Still, it was something to do that didn't involve mess so I could find a cooler spot than my craft desk to work in.  Notice I said cooler, not cool.  Nowhere is cool right at this moment!

I love this! I agree though about finding it hard to fill the page. I hope this heat isn't going on too long, it's not for me.
Come on Spain!!

Well I think it's fabulous, I love it :-) I know what you mean about trying to fill the page - I had a go at one and won't be doing it again any time soon :-/ I'll stick to doodling small areas or just framing something with doodles ;-)

It's gorgeous Kay - must be something in the air. I've been doodling today - trying to join in that 30 day journal challenge. Same thing, having trouble filling the page up with doodles and then I'm not happy with the spaces inbetween. Grrr. Love yours though, mine wasn't zendoodletastic.

I have NO talent in that area. You would think a former (well sort of) engineer used to making crude sketches, would be able to draw a few squiggles on a page.

But that just doesn't happen, so when I see drawings like this one, I am so in awe and appreciation. I'm so glad you are sharing your talent for those of us who are doodle challenged.

I really like what you have come up with I like you fancy doing this but having only ever doodles in the margin it makes me wonder (could I do it?) lol yours is pretty cool though maybe I will give it a go who knows lol
