...and what have I done. Well, I've been away for most of it with work, exhibiting at a conference in Bournemouth and trying very hard not to get blown in to the sea (when I wasn't trying hard not to be bored to death!). All in all a very dangerous week. Got home late on Thursday, then had loads of catching up to do on Friday in the office.
Over the weekend I have managed to do some crafting. Here are a couple of gift bags I made. This first one started out as a green bag, and it's still a green bag!! It was originally a dark, flat green which I spritzed with Peacock Green shimmer mist so it's now very sparkly (which doesn't really show in the pic). I coloured some grunge paper with Peeled Paint DI, then spritzed it with the same shimmer mist. After that I stamped t!m's reindeer with versamark and embossed with gold then cut him out and attached him to the bag. I put the gift inside, folded over the top of the bag, made a couple of holes with the Crop-a-dile and tied with green ribbon.
This second one started out as a plain brown take away bag. I covered it with Fired Brick DI then spritzed it with Red Firefly shimmer mist. After that I stamped t!m's snowflake flurry in versamark and embossed in white. The snowman (t!m's) was stamped onto grungepaper that had been coloured with Fired Brick in versamark and embossed in white as well. He was cut out and stuck to the front of the bag too. The gift isn't in this one yet, because it is still a bit damp from all the shimmer mist spritzing so it might split if I don't let it dry out properly first!. Once it is dry I will put the gift in and then seal up the top with some ribbon (it's for my daughter and she will peek if I don't make sure it is sealed up securely!)
Well, conference/exhibition season is over for the year, so things should be a bit less hectic for a while at work, thank goodness! Hopefully I can get some more "me" time for crafting.
Hope everyone has been having a good weekend.

Beautiful gift bags, Kay - you are so organised! Love both of them, but the snowman is superb! Haven't done a thing about presents yet.
The weekend has been better than last, LOL - apart from the footie (though watching Chelsea lose just now was good!)
They are gorgeous! I've got one of those brown bags that I filched from the last Ally Pally - I was wondering what to do with it! I may have to nab your idea!
Thanks for your visit today - she's a little moo that Ruby! *g* I keep meaning to come put your fears at rest and keep forgetting... I'm not cheating on Alice don't worry :P I was just playing around in Piknik and uploaded the page from the RIP Rock CJ I did and really liked how it turned out. I'm glad I did it now cos my CJ has gone walkies :( I've got to start from fresh and do a new one and I had really loved my Big O page. Ah well - always got my banner to remind me.
The bags look great Kay, love that green. Bored at a conference? surely not, hehe
